Buddhist techno is now a thing.
Forget about going to Sunday church at Berghain; Japanese DJ-turned-Buddhist priest, Gyōsen Asakura, has actually made a real techno temple.
The 49-year old priest throws completely off-the-wall “techno memorial services” at Shō-onji (照恩寺) temple in Fukui City.
There is a catch though. His project is expensive and he needs money to keep on keeping on. Judging by the video below, he probably needs quite a bit to keep this audio-visual extravaganza going.
